Why this matters

A WhatsApp message has a shelf life of about four minutes.

After that, the person who asked has already opened a competitor’s chat. Most businesses lose leads not because the product was wrong, but because one phone was busy, one person was asleep, or one message got buried under two hundred others.

1 phone

is what most teams share. Only one person can hold it at a time, and no one else can see the history.

24 hours

is the window WhatsApp gives you to reply freely. Miss it and you can only send a paid, pre-approved template.

No record

of who said what. When a teammate leaves, the conversations leave with the handset.

No reach

Personal WhatsApp caps forwarding at five chats. You cannot tell five thousand customers anything.

One conversation, seven jobs

What WhatsLayer does with Ananya’s 9:41 pm message.

Every part of the product exists because of a specific moment in a real conversation. Here is that conversation, and the part of WhatsLayer that handles each step.

01 / 07  Shared team inbox

The message lands where your whole team can see it.

Not on one person’s phone. Every WhatsApp chat — plus Instagram DMs and Telegram — arrives in one list your teammates open from their own laptops. Anyone can pick it up, and everyone can see what was already said.

  • Assign a chat to a teammate so two people never reply to the same customer.
  • Labels and internal notes — “wants COD”, “size M held” — visible to the team, never to the customer.
  • Canned replies for the twenty questions you answer every single day.
  • Roles and permissions so an agent sees their chats, and only the owner sees billing.

02 / 07  Flows & chatbot

Nobody was awake. She got an answer in two seconds anyway.

You draw the conversation once on a canvas — a question, the possible answers, what to send for each — and it runs forever. No code, no developer, no monthly agency retainer.

  • Drag-and-drop builder. Drop a node, type the message, draw a line to what happens next.
  • Buttons and list menus so customers tap instead of typing — fewer mistakes, faster replies.
  • AI replies for the questions you did not plan for, answered from your own product information.
  • Hand over to a human the moment the customer asks for one, mid-conversation, with full history.

03 / 07  WhatsApp forms & media

She gave you her address without ever leaving the chat.

Sending a customer to a web form loses most of them. A WhatsApp form opens inside the conversation — name, address, pincode, preferred time — and the answers land straight on the contact record.

  • Build the form with the fields you actually need, in the order you want them asked.
  • Send images, PDFs, price lists and location — catalogues, invoices, a map pin to your shop.
  • Answers become contact fields you can filter and broadcast on later.

04 / 07  Pipeline & tasks

The chat became a deal you can actually track.

A conversation is only useful if it moves. Drag a chat across a board — New, Interested, Reserved, Paid — and you can see at a glance where the money is stuck and who is sitting on it.

  • Kanban board with your own stages, one card per conversation.
  • Tasks with owners and due dates — “call back Thursday” stops living in someone’s head.
  • Analytics on delivery, read rate, replies and per-teammate response time.

05 / 07  Broadcasts & templates

Next week you tell five thousand people. Each one reads their own name.

Not a group. Not a five-chat forward. A one-to-one message to every contact on your list, personalised, sent on the official API — so it arrives in the normal chat list and not in a folder nobody opens.

  • Upload a CSV or pick a list, choose an approved template, schedule it, watch it go.
  • Personalise every field — name, order number, appointment time — from the contact record.
  • Manage Meta templates from inside WhatsLayer — submit, track approval, see rejection reasons.
  • Replies come back to the inbox — a broadcast starts conversations, it does not end them.

06 / 07  Every channel, one list

She replied on Instagram this time. Same thread, same team.

Customers do not care which app they used last. Instagram DMs and Telegram chats land in the same inbox as WhatsApp, with the same assignment, labels and notes — so your team learns one screen, not three.

  • Instagram DMs and story replies answered from the same list.
  • Telegram for the customers and communities who live there.
  • A website chat widget and click-to-chat links that drop visitors straight into WhatsApp.
  • A personal number by QR when you want to start today, before API approval comes through.

WhatsApp

Official Business API, plus QR for a personal number.

Instagram

DMs and story replies in the shared inbox.

Telegram

Same assignment, labels and notes.

Website widget

A chat button that opens a real WhatsApp thread.

07 / 07  API & automation

Your order system sends the tracking link. Nobody types anything.

Everything the screen can do, a request can do. Send a message when an order ships, add a contact when someone fills your website form, or push every incoming reply into your own database.

  • REST API for sending messages, managing contacts and triggering flows.
  • Webhooks that fire on every incoming message, delivery receipt and status change.
  • Signed webhooks from Shopify, WooCommerce and Stripe so store events become messages.

The rest of it

Everything else in the box.

No add-on pricing, no “contact sales to unlock”. What your plan includes is on the pricing page in plain rupees.

AI replies

Answers the questions your flow did not plan for, using your own product information — and hands over to a person the moment it should.

WhatsApp calling

Take and place calls on your business number from inside the platform, logged against the same contact as the chat.

Contacts & lists

Import a CSV, tag by behaviour, build a segment once and broadcast to it every month.

Number warmer

Ramps a new number’s sending volume gradually instead of blasting on day one — the single biggest cause of blocks.

Desktop notifications

A browser alert the second a chat is assigned to you, so nobody has to keep a tab in view all day.

Several numbers, one login

Connect a WhatsApp number per brand, branch or team, and move between their inboxes without signing out.

Labels & notes

Internal context that travels with the contact and never reaches the customer.

Analytics

Delivery, read and reply rates per broadcast; response time per teammate; what your customers actually open.

Roles & permissions

Owners, managers and agents see different things. Change a password and that person’s old sessions end.

Getting started

Three steps, and none of them is “book a demo”.

Connect your number

Sign in with Facebook, pick your WhatsApp Business account and verify with the code Meta sends. If you would rather start today, scan a QR with a personal number instead.

Invite your team

Add teammates by email and give each one a role. They log in from their own laptop — no shared phone, no shared password.

Send your first broadcast

Import contacts, pick a template, schedule it. Replies land in the inbox and get assigned automatically.

Why teams move here

Most WhatsApp tools charge you twice.

Once for the software, and again on every conversation — a markup added on top of what Meta already charges. WhatsLayer never marks up what Meta bills you. Pay us monthly or yearly for the platform; Meta’s conversation fees pass through at cost.

Zero markup on Meta’s fees

Every plan passes Meta’s conversation charges through at cost — Trial included. The only thing you pay us for is the platform.

Three channels, one inbox

WhatsApp, Instagram and Telegram together. Most WhatsApp CRMs do WhatsApp only, then sell the rest separately.

Several brands, one account

Run a number per brand or branch, each with its own contacts, templates and teammates — without paying for a separate account every time.

Pricing

A plan for every stage, from solo to franchise.

Ten days free, every feature unlocked. Four plans after that, priced in your currency.

Meta's own conversation charges are billed at cost, with zero markup, on every plan. See the full comparison →

Questions

The things people ask before signing up.

Can I use my existing WhatsApp number?

Yes. If that number is currently on the normal WhatsApp or WhatsApp Business app, you first have to delete the account on that app — a number can live in one place at a time. After that you connect it here and it becomes an API number.

Your old chat history stays on the phone; it does not move across. Many teams keep their personal number and connect a second one for business, which avoids the whole problem.

What is the WhatsApp Business API, and why does it matter?

It is the official way Meta lets software send and receive WhatsApp messages for a business. It is what makes a shared inbox, a chatbot and a five-thousand-person broadcast possible at all — the normal app cannot do any of that.

It also means your messages are not at risk of being treated as spam by unofficial tools. You get a green tick eligibility path, a quality rating and a proper sending limit that grows as customers respond well.

Will my number get blocked if I broadcast?

Not if you send messages people want. Meta rates every number on how customers react — blocks and “report” taps push the rating down, replies push it up. A low rating reduces how many people you can message per day.

WhatsLayer helps in three ways: only Meta-approved templates go out, the number warmer raises your volume gradually instead of all at once, and analytics show read and reply rates so you can stop a bad list before it costs you the number.

What does Meta charge on top of my plan?

Meta bills per conversation, not per message, and the rate depends on the country and the category — a utility message such as an order update costs less than a marketing one. Service conversations that a customer starts are free within a window.

We pass those charges through at cost. The plan price you see here is for the WhatsLayer platform itself.

Do I need a developer to set this up?

No. Connecting a number, inviting teammates, building a flow and sending a broadcast are all done from the screen. The REST API and webhooks are there if you want to connect your own systems, but nothing requires them.

Can several teammates use one number at the same time?

Yes — that is the main reason to use this. Everyone logs in with their own account, sees the same chats, and picks up whichever conversation is assigned to them. There is no shared handset and no shared password.

What happens to my data if I stop paying?

Your account becomes read-only rather than being deleted, so you can still export contacts and chat history. Your number stays yours — it is registered to your Meta Business account, not to us, and you can disconnect it at any time.

Stop losing WhatsApp leads.

Ten days free, every feature unlocked, no card. If it does not save your team an hour in the first week, walk away.
